Aims and Objectives
We need to develop our aims and objectives in line with the changes in the trade union and political movement. We aim to support trade unionists at grass roots and shop steward level through the official structures of the trade unions.
We support the TUC in its campaigns for justice and the repeal of all anti-trade union legislation.
We recognise the importance of the traditional links with the Labour Party and the need for trade unionists to be involved at all levels of the Labour Party.
This does not mean we will have an uncritical approach in our discussions when promoting our policy positions.
